My G500 has never been happier! It has just come back (along with me!) after a three day adventure in Death Valley organized by Harold Pietschmann. The trip was incredible. I highly recommend Harold's services because no only does he know the off-roading spots in California very well, but he is also an expert on the G-wagen and the ML.

I've included one picture below to give you a taste of what we did, but I will have a full photo album posted later this week including some great video clips. More details about the trip itself can be found at http://4x4abc.com/DV/02/index.html.

Very nice Jimmy. I only wish we have that kind of trips on the east coast...

You're ruining your car.
But pictures are interesting.

The car is fine, except the driver's side window no longer works. It's built for these kinds of conditions, and since this is my second G-wagen, I know what it can handle.

I bought this vehicle to be able to take trips like this. If I only planned on using it on paved roads, I would have been better off spending my money on a BMW M5 or an E55 AMG.

you are probably one of the very few who might be actually taking the G off the paved roads. Some G's will only see the gravel from the drive way and even those will probably be washed off immediately

i must admit, If i had one.. i probably would be one of the people who won't take it off rroad

Jimmy:

These pictures are awesome. I can't wait to see the rest. How did the ML's compare to the G's in off roading?

Thanks,
Rob
