I bought this 2002 G500 recently, I've always wanted a G but like they say, don't ever meet your heroes! Currently getting 11 mpg. It shakes and shimmys at highway speeds but maybe that's because of the BFG All Terrain K02s. It's got all service records and 95,000 miles

Time to flush the diffs while fixing the leak I suppose. The shimmy could be so many things, have a mechanic look it over? I can't imagine it's the tires though it's possible that they are just out of balance. I really like the silver color, it's too bad that that very few later model 463s came in silver. It's a great look.
11mpg in mixed driving sounds about right. I get between 9-11 in mostly city driving in SF. At highway speeds it can get close to 15-16 if I drive slow and there are not too many hills.
Any new (used) vehicle needs some $$ to get right. Hope you didnt buy it hoping for 16-19MPG
I just picked up a 2005 G55 and its going through its 80K service as well as other flushes and maintenance including some body work. Probably cost me around 3-5K on top of getting the truck but it will be solid (and I drove it 8 hours to get it home so it was already a solid truck).
