thanks everyone! Yes Platinum Magno Paint. I still cant believe i scored this car considering i began shopping for it 6 weeks ago. Literally called 50 dealerships nationwide and if there was an allocation available they wanted 40-50k over msrp. Well.. honestly no thank you! I then got a call back from Irena @ Mercedes Benz of San Rafael (30 miles from home) and she asked if i was interested in an incoming 2020 car where the buyer had backed out. I said "not anymore cuz the markups are rediculous!" She chuckled and said who said anything about markup?... the car is being sold at msrp" To my disbelief i asked her to repeat herself couple times. Long story short she put my name on it and the rest is history.

I hope Irena didn’t give you a terrible price on your trade or make you buy an A Class for $50K....

Great to hear that not all US dealers are greedy *******s. In Canada, none charge over MSRP; and the G costs less in Canada than anywhere in the world, so they definitely could.

As I understand it, it's a little better out East, if anyone knows of a dealer in Canada willing to take a deposit and sell to a BC customer...

There is a strange misconception that Canada is a great place to buy a G. Yes, dealers cannot legally charge over MSRP for a brand new car, but the wait list for several Western Canada dealers is 3 or 4 years, with a 10% ($20,000) deposit held for that period. Many will not even accept deposits at this point anymore. Some have a 'used' G63 for $60k over list with 100km on the clock - they are playing the exact same game as US dealers.

I ordered mine with $0 deposit. I actually didn’t pay a single dollar until I went to pick it up! But I did wait about 3 years. I’ve bought 3 other cars from the same dealer in 5 years. Not huge, he definitely did me a favour. It’s all about the relationship you have with the Sales Manager (don’t even bother with a regular salesperson).

The Magno (aka matte) is awesome! Doesn't scratch like clearcoat its very durable. Selling cuz i really need something more practical especially during these crazy times
