Hi guys! was scrolling down through CarGurus.com and found these new 2020 G63s. I noticed that some of the cars do have the new “driving mode switches” on their new 2020 G63. was wondering which option is this? appreciate your comments!
In the US you get this option as long as you don't order heated steering wheel. If you add the heated steering wheel, these AMG-specific controls are deleted.

Another thing I have noticed in the G is the center of the steering wheel is not leather wrapped , even with the highest designo interior.

Also, the rear air vents in the G are surrounded by plastic, not leather.

The new GLS has the leather wrapped center portion in certain trims

for some reason, it shows off ‘sporty’ nature of the car. Amg GT 4dr has the same issue..go figure

A leather steering wheel is standard on the 2020 GLS 450 & upcoming GLS 580. The AMG Drive unit is only available on AMG models..naturally.

He's referring to the airbag cover. For some reason Mercedes insists on keeping it cheap plastic/rubber on every car except the S-Class. BMW, Audi, Porsche, all use leather airbag covers starting at a much lower pricepoint of car.

Yes the pic I posted is the GLS63. I am not sure if it's leather wrapped in the 580 with the designo leather option.
you can get the airbag wrapped in leather easily or just buy a leather wrapped airbag on ebay. simple solution either way but I agree its pathetic they didn't wrap it in the new G.
