2020 G63 exterior rearview mirror vibration

Just curious how many others have noticed either of their exterior rearview mirrors vibrate at higher speeds. At speeds higher than 55MPH my 2020 G63 exterior rearview mirror on the drivers side vibrates (just the mirror glass itself). The passenger side is fine.

seems to be a common issue as my 2019 driver side mirror (steering on left, USA) also does that. I had it replaced once but it’s not fixed. I’m beginning to think if whole door mirror assembly has the issue as they replaced inside once already. Right side door mirror is ok

I had the driver's side mirror glass motor replaced which was "suppose to fix the vibration issue", but of course they replaced it under warranty at the dealership and nowt I think the vibration issue is only marginally better (or possibly no difference). Kind of disappointing... Seems like there is no real solution for this problem.

yes same here and it still vibrates. It might have to do with aerodynamics, I’m speculating ..

No problem (yet) on my 2019. Do both left and right mirrors feel the same when you press on the glass? Any loose feel to the left one? Did you actually see the motor unit the dealer claims to have replaced?

Same identical issue here on my 2016 G63.
Only driver’s side has the mirror vibrating problem. Dealership tried to fix it with parts replacement but I see no major improvements.

same issue

This issue happens to my last 2019 g63amg but I didn't keep that car very long. And I bought a 2021 model about 3 weeks ago, the same issue happens again! I brought it back to the dealer and they replaced the motor, but I didn't noticed any improvement. So I brought the car back to them again, they kept the car for 2 days and said they can't get it fixed completely. Looks like this is a design flaw.

I had rattle noise from wind on both mirrors and figured it out today. There is a circular cap under each mirror that I assume covers access to the folding motor. Both of mine were just slightly loose, as in I could slightly push it in and slide it around a little from side to side with my finger. I took a small bit of black gorilla tape and secured the caps to the base of the mirror...barely noticeable (only from looking under the mirror unit). Problem solved. Probably a bad gasket seal or just a fault in manufacturing, but no more noise. Hope this can help some.

Mirror folded in. The spot is right below the base that doesn’t fold.

I could probably trim the tape but I don't care to given it's only noticeable from directly underneath.

Any luck with the mirror glass vibration issue getting successfully fixed? My dealership has “fixed” it twice and still no difference (replaced motor).

There apparently doesn’t seem to be a successful solution to this problem. Unless someone has had a successful repair done??? Do most of you notice this mirror glass vibration on drivers side of your G wagon (2019-newer)? It’s kind of pathetic that a $200k vehicle does this… a $20k car doesn’t even have this problem….

I hear you on this matter with the vibration. i have to live with it as well, dealer attempted to fix but NO luck.

Similar to the windows (on my E class) situation where that plastic piece design keeps on breaking and preventing window roll up/down operation.
I am afraid to roll down the windows..kinda sad.

2021 G63 rearview mirror driver side vibrations

Went two dealerships four times the last one changed the whole mirror housing and everything but still no luck it actually is worse now I requested them to put the original one back but they said it broke while taking off. Now I am stuck and it’s surprisingly just the driver side and dealer told me it’s common complaint with no credible fix yet from Mercedes. Very disappointed that 200k car has this issue 😢😢

Same here. They attempted at least 4 times and then finally replaced absolutely everything and now it’s the still the same or possibly worse. Even a $20k Kia doesn’t have this problem… Kind of embarrassing.
