Did you take over someone else’s slot? These stealers take that same as retail markup cars vs if you’re the original person who placed order and got the slot. I know Porsche dealers do it this way.
only other dealer who was disappointing and try to make a markup after I placed an order as first person for g63, is Mercedes of Monterey CA. They asked me to pay $10K markup on Edition 1 that I ordered a long time ago so I backed away from it. Would never ever get another car from them
FJ of Newport Beach is literally the largest MB dealer in the country if I'm correct (I know many dealers claim this, but I think FJ Newport is the actual biggest).
MBUSA wont' do anything to punish them. At best, they will give you some goodwill credit in the form of a voucher.
Unfortunately, At least the dealer has no interest of giving me any sort of compensation. And they told me straight that they don't expect me to ever come back again because of having such bad experience that day.

I waited for 16-17 months total, and it is my own slot from the very beginning.

Leave reviews on Google, Yahoo (yes, people still look there), etc. and tell the story. Be honest and don't show any inflated emotions and be mean. People really read these and if one person goes somewhere else for any model you should be feel a little better.

Be in this forum for a long while, never thought this could happen to me!!
After 15 months of waiting, My custom ordered matte platinum G63 finally arrived at the dealer, and the infamous SoCAL dealer (Yes, FJ of Newport Beach) refuse to keep their verbal promise of selling me at MSRP. Instead, they are bragging for a 50K markup!! 15 months of waiting turns into nothing.,....
Now I decide to move forward and order another one, if someone has a connection and could help me order another one at MSRP (I know, I am ok to wait another year), I'm willing to pay a very nice introduction fee after the dealer take my order and willing to commit MSRP in written, another request is that the car can be registered in CA (if the dealer is out of state).

Try contacting Mercedes Benz Manhattan. They are a flagship dealer and not allowed to sell cars over sticker price. This is a strict policy from Mercedes to all Flagship dealers. I’ve been dealing with for a while now and they keep their word.

List price no markup over msrp No BS No games I say burn this dealer up with bad reviews My dealer MB South Charlotte only sells customer cancelled orders for 35k over list. Same story happened to me in nyc, I also end up a G63 in MB South Charlotte. The dealership's vibe and buying experience just in a whole another level comparing to NYC dealers.

Close. If they were able to have an order sent directly to a buyers local dealer vice getting it at their place (or paying to have it shipped) I would have already placed my order with them.

CMC in Little Silver NJ. If in NYC area, they are worth the drive (they are actually excited to have your business). Got my G63 within 10months, MSRP, and they were incredibly excited about the sale. Check out JPBenz on instagram or ask for him there. I ended up there because: I bought from Benz Manhattan who had very little patience as they sell 100 cars a day. Good service there however. Catena was always a confusing experience. They seemed a bit lost. No special treatment despite buying Gwagon and other AMG from them.
