SoCAL dealer! Another heart breaking story! Need help order a new G63
Be in this forum for a long while, never thought this could happen to me!!
After 15 months of waiting, My custom ordered matte platinum G63 finally arrived at the dealer, and the infamous SoCAL dealer (Yes, FJ of Newport Beach) refuse to keep their verbal promise of selling me at MSRP. Instead, they are bragging for a 50K markup!! 15 months of waiting turns into nothing.,....
Now I decide to move forward and order another one, if someone has a connection and could help me order another one at MSRP (I know, I am ok to wait another year), I'm willing to pay a very nice introduction fee after the dealer take my order and willing to commit MSRP in written, another request is that the car can be registered in CA (if the dealer is out of state).
Not really, the sold sign is for me before they actually sold to me. I'm pretty sure they removed the sign now.

Thats technically false. If they can punish dealers who sell to known exporters, they can do the exact same things to dealers that mark up or break agreements.

I got burned by a dealer as well. MBUSA has no control over these dealers. Please don't order any with 12 months lead time. The best deal I have found is $10K over from a straight shooter with 4-6 months timeline - if you want their info, please PM me. G63's with less options between 157 and 166K are siting on some lots for 2-3 weeks. But dealers won't budge below $40-50K. I think best time to buy would be the week between Xmas and New Year.

Well technically yes, exporting yes, they could punish the dealers, but in the reality regarding ADM, corporate does not care. I have written Sales order with MSRP deal(with 5k non-refundable deposit), after 12 months waiting the dealership flipped on me. MBUSA could not do a damn thing to it. I did get contacts even with their high up in the corp office. It's a known thing that customers reaching out to their customer serivces to report those kind of activities. U gotta be a social media influencer to expose them in the public, then they might reach out to you trying to get the post down and work with you. Several public figures got burned by Keyes European Mercedes benz in SoCal.
Does MB have anything like Porsche's Courtesy Delivery Program, where one can buy from Dealer A and have it sent to Dealer B directly from the factory?
That’s why you must get it in writing that the truck will be delivered to you at MSRP and leave a deposit on your credit card which is consideration for the offer and acceptance. Got to cross your t’s and for your i’s. That’s what I did with my recent G63 order and I have zero worry of being screwed. I did all this with the GM of the dealership as well, not a salesman.

haha, that was my situation, written sales order states MSRP and with non-refundable deposit. Still, when the truck was on the vessel on its way to Baltimore, they want extra 25k. Read the fine print on the sales order, wasting time going thru legal route deal with those scumbags.
I hope they at least promptly refunded your deposit. As I posted I am talking about ordering a G550 now and a big one down here, Fields, who owns numerous dealers, has a company policy of not selling over MSRP but they are trying to get me an allocation. Another dealer told me that all of the 2020 allocations have already been disbursed; however, that is not how other manufacturers do it albeit I do not know so I have to assume he is telling me the truth (or not).
FJ of Newport Beach is literally the largest MB dealer in the country if I'm correct (I know many dealers claim this, but I think FJ Newport is the actual biggest).

The only dealership that is 100% no mark up store is Mercedes Benz Manhattan, it's MBUSA's corp store. Please give more info regarding the MBUSA goodwill credit. I would love to get something out of it, even I've already got another G63 from North Carolina,lol

The goodwill credit is not a policy and I have not heard of MBUSA ever granting it for a surprise change in the deal. I'm just saying that goodwill credit is often the standard customer service placation given by corporate customer service departments.

I've definitely receive those so call goodwill credit during aftersale services complain. Pick up the phone call their customer service right now regarding the New G63 mark up or dealership "scam". They will apologize, but that's it. They just can't control those sales operated by Third party retailers.
