Black Running Boards/Side Steps

I was wondering if the Night Package blacked out the running boards/side steps on the MY19/MY20 Gs?
I see a few pics that have all black running boards but can't seem to figure out if that is custom or whether
they came like that. Most have the silver from what I see so I'm assuming aftermarket. If they are, any idea
who sells the all-black ones? Thanks!

Most have wrapped or powder coated the stock boards

Thanks, I just spoke to Brabus and said that exact thing, they powder coat theirs so that's my plan as well.

They did a great job on mine but takes bit of labour to remove the rubber strips that run along the steps and refit them

...just a little OT: how do you protect your Running Boards / Side Steps from scratches? Mine are Standard, not Black, but I think the problem is there for both. For the moment I'm trying with a Transparent adhesive film between the Rubber Stripes but I don't know if they will stay there for long enough...

Look into Paint protection film. A vinyl or detail shop can install on the boards like a clear wrap and it will be protected and self heal scratches without noticing it’s on

Nope, contacted my local area official 3M Film/Wrap installer and he told me that a wrapped part with that function wouldn't last more than one month so, it might last even less with powder coating. At the next washing I'll take a picture of the conditions of mine, but now I'm wondering if I am the only one with this phenomenon, I'm using only rubber sole shoes, what am I doing so wrong?

I dipped mine over a year ago and it's held up pretty well, even through automated carwashes. I applied these products. They were recommend by some guys that dip their rims.

Based on the comparison pics in the 2020 G Ordering Guide there appears to be no difference albeit one cannot see the top of the board but from the sides they are the same.

Bob Z is right on this one... no difference in running boards whether or not you have night package.

I'm comfortable with the wrapping process, but would rather not ruin the rubber strips trying to remove them.

For what it is worth my wrapped ones still look as good as the day I installed it. If you wrap be sure to get the best quality you can, like I did. They can sell you a kit as well.

I didn't. I had strips made in the sizes to cover the shiny areas between the rubber strips:
