Ship Asigned

The vessel name does not populate at the same time the vehicle is assigned a ship. Netstar will typically display the vessel name once the vehicle is loaded onto the vessel it's assigned. This usually happens on either a Wednesday or Sunday. Your G should be loaded onto it's vessel this Sunday. I have a couple clients with their G 63's-At Port-Ship Assigned 3/10 as well.

Is the average time it takes from the date the build is completed until the time it arrives at a US dealer? 2 months maybe?

My dealer told me my 3rd decade of March build could be here as early as late April, but likely early May.
I'd say 6 weeks however it seems the biggest factor is the time it takes from completion of the build to the
sailing date of the ship it's assigned to. If that takes a while, then that 6 weeks could definitely be extended.

Hey Bob, it's usually 45 days from date of final production until it gets to the dealership. Now that's for us on the east coast. Either Brunswick, Ga or Baltimore, MD ports. However it's a fluid situation, so yes it can take up 60 days. Given the current health situation we may start to see delays in delivery times going forward.

BTW you and I exchanged emails when started this journey looking for a White over Macchiato/Yacht Blue STT G550.

It all depends on where you are located at. Since they come out of Bremerhaven, Gmny the eastern ports get the vehicles first. It usually takes about 2 weeks to travel by train from Gratz, Austria to the VPC/port in Germany.

I was at my local MB dealer today and the ordering manager said he would be very surprised if production restarted on March 30th albeit I think we all could have guessed the same. He could not say when he thinks it will restart since the situation is so fluid but he had to guess it would be at least May.

what happens to those that had 2020 models with deliveries in september? do they just automatically role to a 2021 given production delays or does MB just push out the 2021 deliveries? Guess i am wondering what happens to those customers that are on the cusp of getting the last wave of 2020’s?

That would make sense: 2020 would basically stop and all orders would become 2021, depending on when production resumes of course, and odds are there would be no price increase as there was already a mid-year one already.

Curious as well since my build is exactly the way I want it, which is the reason I went today, to verify colors. I would think they have an idea of changes for 2021 such as colors by now although they have not released the order guide. I told the manager to let me know when he learns about the 2021 and since he really liked my Porsche today I am sure he will be back in touch.

i actually jumped back to a 2020 allocation and will get PO next next. Didnt want to wait for 2021 as dealer said their rep doesnt expect any changes. Will get sense on timing this week as well. But with all this work stoppages, guess my order may turn to 2021 anyway. Will know more this week but going with available 2020 slot
