Magno Paint Scratch
Hello all, so I noticed some of the paint missing on this part of the door. It’s hard to photograph but can definitely be felt as if one coat of the paint has been removed. Does anyone have any idea what the process would be to repair something like this? It’s hardly noticeable but I want to make sure it doesn’t make itself vulnerable to rust. Thanks.

As a magno paint owner, I hate to see this for you. Some say entire panel has to be repainted, but there has to be some paint technology around as these paints become more prevalent.
I'll be following this point. GLW this...

Will need to look into it more before I use something like this though.

I have bought auto paint from automotivetouchup.com and it has been perfect although I am not sure they can get yours but I would email them or see if it comes up, and most importantly you will need the proper clear coat to give it the matte look/finish.

Your MB dealer should be able to to order the Designo Magno Night touchup kit which includes both the paint and the matte clear coat vials with paint brush. I have it and have used and it and works fine although you can still detect it was touched up if you look closely or if you are aware you touched it up.

Def take it to your MB dealer, it's tough and almost impossible to get it to match perfectly. Have them order some touch up paint, clear coat it, and I'd recommend ceramic pro and/or a clear bra. Clear bra would be super expensive, but protects the matte paint the best.

So I contacted my local Mercedes dealer and they said they don’t carry a touch up kit for magno night black. Going to take it to a body shop they recommended and see if they have something that can match it.

Not exactly near you, but i know a shop here in Natick MA that did a fantastic job matching Platinum Magno on my C63. He also did repairs on a magno white C63 which came out perfect too.

I was able to order the touch-up paint from my dealer. It is the paint only and does not come with a clear. Match isn't perfect but very close. Maybe the parts department guy is being lazy.
