Has anyone taken delivery lately?

Frank can recover your airbag in leather, with custom stitching if you so desire, and he uses OEM leather: http://www.exclusiveoption.com/

Congratz. That trail package looks great! I going to get my shop to find some AT for the 22s.
But yeah that plastic airbag is pretty damn annoying. The one we have on the S class is soo nice with pipings and all. I dunno why they couldn't do that for the gwagon. I'm all for modding and I've messed with airbags many times but I am hesitant to reupholster an airbag.

Wow. Looks so good! Are you going to PPF the bumpers in stealth? Or keep them gloss?
If you don't mind sharing - what's the PPF work costing you? How long does the job take?
Mine has the exact same exterior spec, and I've been considering going the same route. Obviously health of people comes before cars, but I share your quarantine concerns. My car is (hopefully) now at the VPC in LA after arriving at Port Hueneme on Thursday, and I'm hoping it'll make it to me in Seattle before we're locked down also.

Full stealth wrap. The prices for PPF vary a cross the country. The prior shop I’ve given multiple cars to PPF wanted 10k. I have had issues with film being over stretched, edges not being installed correctly and dirt under the film.
I’m using a different group called ACAP films which is highly regarded and charges 8500 for stealth and 7500 for ultimate gloss. I’ll leave a full review when I get the car back. I’ve had RR’s, Porsche’s and other cars wrapped in 3 days. Not sure why its going to take 2 weeks but I suspect the work will be exponentially better than the prior outfit I used.

Good news and I know the feeling you are getting, but stay positive since there are many others that wish they had the opportunity to buy a G Wagon. And once you see it I am sure your smile will return.

I know.... first world problems and all, but we're among friends. I, obviously, appreciate that the health of everyone is far more important

I'm in the same place. I've been obsessively excited about this since August last year, when I finally placed my order. I tracked it weekly once I got close to build, daily through build, what feels like hourly as it crossed from Bremerhaven to Long Beach. For the first time yesterday - I didn't check anything. I'm actually almost hoping it gets stalled at the VPC in LA (which is where it is now) as that'll give me more time to decide whether I really buy an insanely expensive luxury asset at the start of a worryingly unknown financial intersection, or eat the deposit loss and walk away.

Getting killed at this hospital with COVID patients. The car is collecting dust in the garage and I haven't had time to even drive or look at it more. PPF guy is closed.
