Makes sense and the same with one of mine - pushed out the amount of time the plant was shutdown. MB USA would not update me via email but you have shown that asking nicely the old fashioned way works better in this case!
My dealer told me today that my build has an estimated production date of May 15.
Awesome, exact same build date as me. I wanted to make an interior change however my dealership is closed and I can't get any help...It's prob too late now but I tried last week.
It's my understanding that some things get locked down earlier in the process than other things. What kind of change are you hoping to make?

All black? What about the stitching? My build is also Night Black Magno. I chose black seats with red stitching.
the option I chose was included, no upcharge. I went “cheap” on the seats lol. I would love the black with red stitching too, is that part of a G manufacturer package?
Nice! I think my sales guy and his manager got layed off as I'm not getting any communication from dealer at this point.
Ughh. I am frustrated but I gave up. It is what it is now. The GM I was working with lied to me that he checked the system lol...said Graz was closed and no updates. MBUSA gave me the updated build date same day.
I was happy with the less expensive "DD4 G Manufaktur Interior Package" $3,100
They offer different color stitching options at no additional charge. I chose red, but they have quite a few different colors.

Hi Bob. I was originally told that I had an "early April allocation." I don't know if "allocation" means the same as "production date?" But, last week when fabbrisd1 checked the status of my Purchase Order, he didn't have any information about a production date. Getting an "estimated production date" from my dealer today seems like I'm making progress

Yeah, who knows what they meant but I agree...any progress is good! My build moved to the right by 1 month, the length of the shutdown.
And here is my interior (Desert Silver exterior with Night Package & Black wheels) that I was able to change just in time. I plan to swap the grab handle trim for Zen wood and the steering wheel star will be gloss black on a Blue leather background to complete the look:

nice Bob. i fully fully loaded mine as well. only item that really bothers me is the steering wheel options on the 550 - Love the more aggressive styles/options on the 63. MB should provide more options especially if we select AMG package
Ya about 6 weeks from when production complete to delivery. I believe Canada gets the first drop off in Halifax and then heads south. I had a 3rd decade of March build for a May 5th arrival to Halifax but got pushed to 3rd decade of April completion (got my VIN# this week) so expect to take delivery early June.
SO exact same as mine, got my VIN# last week. Apart from that, do you have any estimated time of arrival from your sales guy?
I'm guessing first week of June in Halifax.
