Will be interesting to see if mine went from last decade of March to the same but April. Given mine was just about to go into production before the shutdown, might not be quite as much of a delay. But even still late April will mean mid-June delivery which is all good with me.

I was second decade in April for my G63....I just emailed the GM and will let you know what they say. The dealership itself is closed but I'm sure the GM can access remotely.

I cant believe the sales people that are remote cant access Net Star remotely from home and need the dealer computer to access.. stupid. With dealerships closed, why wouldn't MB USA allow all sales people to access Net Star remotely.

My other build, the one in Platinum Magno, was planned for March 30 and I am waiting to hear back from the dealer to see if it slipped so at least one of us should find out soon!

Sweet, once you hear back, should pretty much be the same as my build.

My G had a build date of 13April. I’m in th U.K. and was told that you don’t get dates on the G by my salesman. I managed to speak to somebody else at the dealership and she divulged the date. I’ll await your revised build date with much anticipation :-)

The GM emailed me back and said the dealership was closed until 5/2. He said he will be in the office next Wednesday and can pull it up then. So perhaps they can’t access from home idk. I will update accordingly!

Well... NetStar is accessible "remote" from PC or Mac.. 4-5 yrs ago a dealer could "choose" to limit Netstar employee's access to their dealership IP only... I don't know a single dealer who chose that option in today's 24/7 world.. if any dealer "had" chosen that IP limitation... a quick email to NetStar help desk would switch it off in about 5 seconds... and if a dealer had that IP limitation and went into Covid lockdown ,, who wouldn't have pulled that IP limit off ?

it's all bullsh*t from anyone that says they can't pull pull up a customer update .. they just don't want to interrupt their margarita time...

Ours was built in Feb. It had arrived by the first week of March in the UK and we collected it during the third week, just before things closed down here.

@Bexlee, yours should be with you within 3/4 weeks of being built.

is that the normal time after car is built? so if my build date is 3rd week of july, that means delivery by end of august or early september? so about a month from build date??

Normally, from build it looks like 2 to 3 weeks for European destinations and about 5 to 6 weeks for USA / Canada.

Similarly the BMW X5 built in USA , takes about 5 to 6 weeks from build to reach the UK.

from what I’ve seen on here most builds take 6/8 weeks to get to the US/ Canada. I’ve not seen anybody from the U.K. post delivery/build times before.

I just read this and the G is mentioned, with production starting tomorrow as I was told by the office: https://industriemagazin.at/a/magna-...machen-sollten

Most importantly, the boss says "Series production of the G-Class begins after Easter."

We lucked out but UK dealers do seem to have plenty of stock now. Less than 5 months from spec to order till delivery.

Here's the quote:

How do you get Magna up and running again?

Apfalter We have to be careful not to run into a second wave. We have clear rules for health protection. In Graz, partitions in the break rooms and protective masks in the factory halls determine the working day. But we start working again. That is essential. On April 6, prototype construction started, albeit with a small team. Series production of the G-Class begins after Easter. The Jaguar and BMW Group production then follows.

2020 G63
Anyone in the forum a Graz Austria local? Or, have confirmation that the Magna Steyr plant started up G production today. Also, does anyone know if there is any differentiation of G63 vs G550 vs 350d for build initiation. Or do they build them all together upon the same line no matter the model.

And if that's the case, I assume anyone with a 2nd decade of March build date is on the line as of today!

Yes, the wait time is not too bad at all I think we are pretty lucky in that sense. I’m so excited to see that the plant should open tomorrow :-). Exciting times!
