2020 G63 Some Weird Things

Hello Everyone,

I just picked up my car, its been just a few days but there are some annoying things, i mean i am from Turkey, here we pay 450k usd for the g63 and i expect solid build quality. Here are some of the things i am disappointed with,

1-Sound system sucks, there us too much bass and even in thr lowest setting, door speakers rattle from %30 of volume.

2–Both front side windows shake because of the wind when they are even partially open, its just unacceptable.

3-There are some constant rattle from the passenger seat somewhere and also from the rear of the car when cruising.

4-I can see the led strip in the right side command screen, its just a low quality multiple tiny led dots, i can see them from the drivers seat, i mean how is this possible ? Instead of seeing a perfect clean light i see multiple tiny led dots, really annoying.

Oo snap. At double the price of those in America. I get your frustration.
I can’t comment on the 2020 model has i got the 2018 version.
There’s always little things thats not perfect on the 2 first model years on any model.
I still think the G63 is a good product. Worse case. Sell it and you wont lose money.

Yes, very annoying. Do you have any issues listed above?

You need to know how to adjust sounds settings and yes, rest is correct but you didn’t buy a Bentley or Rolls Royce, it a g-wagon.

Mine is on order but I took a fairly long test drive, of a G550, and did not notice any of those things although I did not put the windows down since that is what air conditioning is for! The Burmester sounded pretty good to me and I think that the average listener would think the same thing. I am also a pretty picky person and I drive a 2019 Targa GTS but for a truck it is real good.

Agreed. Good think you didn't step into a 2018. Always a trade off with the G klasse. At least for now. No mbux, some Gen 1 issues that will be worked out in later years. Enjoy her imperfections. Or not. Yolo..

I am well aware of that, for the sound settings, even in the lowest bass setting, door speakers rattle like crazy.

try turning the surround off and adjust bass/treble it gets a lot better and higher quality without surround. Also, best way to enjoy higher quality is connecting via cable, Bluetooth is lower quality. I consider myself a bit of audiofile and I’m satisfied with the quality this way. I don’t have door speaker rattling issues. Let me know how it goes.

,
Mercedes sound systems have always looked fancier than they sound imo. Only the upgraded hi-fi system in the S-Class has impressed me, even then it is still equal to the standard Mark Levinson system in the Lexus LS.

The LED strip was one of the first thing I noticed and is a bit annoying. Makes the car look like a DIY

having the right settings makes a huge difference. The best car audio I had so far was in last two of our Range Rover autobiography with Meridian signature sound system - 29 speakers 1700W and 3D sound was really impressive. Yet again with right settings MB Burmester is not bad

Right lower side of the picture, you can see led dots, poorly made looks incredibly cheap.
