To be honest if you had not been doing this wrap you would have gotten more of those shiny spots/scratches as time went on. I have magno black matte on my 14 and after 6 years its seen its fair share of "events", got to a point where it doesn't bother me too much anymore but its there. Not to mention I live in the NE NY. I guess thats the cost of getting this paint, still looks amazing don't get me wrong but sometimes I think the magno silver truck or another color would have been more sensible.
For some reason MB WESTMINISTER has had a ton of bad reviews on this forum and locally from some G guys too. They seemed to always have a G no matter what year your looking for. I remember I looked at G they had too but for this exact reason I avoided that one. Too expensive to just buy sight unseen. Was not going to fly to CO and drive back to NY in a G nonetheless.
Name the GM and salesperson and blast them on YELP, GOOGLE, AND ANY SOCIAL MEDIA IF YOU HAVE. I am in the business TRUST ME it is going to cost them thousands in the long run. Also give them 0s on the CSI, this will ensure the sales and GM do not get their bonus. I am always against 0 on CSI ALWAYS but in this case it is warranted.
Good luck and enjoy your new G.

Hi amaycg, so sorry you've had such a bad experience with the delivery of your new G. Glad you're getting MBUSA involved. The way you've been treated is outrageous. I'd like to offer you another suggestion. If you belong to the Mercedes Benz Club of America, you might contact them about this. I know in past years they have gotten involved in customer/dealership disputes especially during the years when MB quality was way down. I'n not sure if they're still doing this or not.but it might be worth a try. At least let the MBCA section in the area where this dealership is located know about this. I own a bullet proof W201 and am blessed to have a great local MB dealership to work with so I haven't personally had to deal with such an issue but I'm aware that MBCA as tried to help with dealer/customer problems in the past. Maybe they might be able to help you now.

Thank you all! Apparently, some commentators from MBWorld weighed in and made a video about this thread on the home page. To provide an update, MBUSA said they couldn’t do anything since the dealer is independently owned and operated, but they did offer me a free Service A (lol). The XPEL Stealth wrap I had done did not change the color or look of the car at all and covered up the marring in the paint quite well. The car looks factory fresh now and at least it is protected from the elements. Slapped on a layer of GYEON Matte ceramic coating onto the PPF, had a tint installer put XPEL Prime XR Plus on the front side glass, and the car looks amazing. Also installed a Blackvue DashCam (some visible wires but whatever). Driving to/from the grocery store (typical G wagon owner), I noticed some other matte black G63s (2013-17) that had the same damage my car had - presumably from brushes at an automatic car wash. Guess I’m not alone!
Photos below are before the ceramic coating and tint (had the local dealer fix a quick noise in the seat) - the matte ceramic coating made the black “richer” and deeper (so the car looks more actual black than grayish black), but did not add any shine. Photos taken before I dropped off the car which is why they’re a little shaky...

I've done that to every one of my vehicles, match the rear windows however it is technically against the law to go that dark. Apparently they are getting more strict up here in Canada but where I live I've never had a problem so I'm debating whether to go that dark or a shade lighter. 50% would still look better than none but I do love the way it looks when all the windows match, especially on a G!

I don't see why they would get special transportation, initially they were work trucks.
