Hey guys! First post here. Just picked up my wife’s new 550 today. Placed the order at the end of January and it came quicker then expected. She is loving it so far. I’m very happy with the bengal red interior and 2 tone steering wheel as well. Pictures don’t do the color justice. It shows much brighter in photos then in person.

I’m amazed. It’s more then I expected honestly. I’ve never owned a previous G class but being in the automotive industry I have driven quite a few for short periods and this is hands down a different vehicle. You really can’t replace the driving experience and the “over the road” feel it gives you. I had a 200mi trip back home from the dealer and it feels solid and heavy on the highway. I ordered It with the AMG line and to my surprise the exhaust note in sport mode is very “burbuly”. The truck rev matches when downshifting as well. Tech is everything you’d expect from a 150k Mercedes. All very well put together. I’m beyond happy with the purchase.

great! how do you feel about the acceleration? i will always modestly debate my G550 order vs going with G63 given some performance difference even though i got every option with 550. so curious how you feel about acceleration....

It’s as quick as it needs to be. It’s not a pig by any means. And I’ve had a lot of fast cars to compare, sure the G63 will be a bit quicker but honestly I think the 0-60 is only what? .1 or .2 sec faster?
