$128k now. I expect a flurry at the end, but right now I wonder if the seller is starting to worry.

This will bid to below market for sure. Not sure why anyone would list a 2020 G63 on Bring a Trailer. Not the ideal medium for selling a car like that. General rule of thumb, if the car is easy to find on CarGurus or Autotrader, then the auction will likely only go to wholesale price. There's no reason to pay market retail at an auction when you can easily find the same spec at a full service dealership.

edit: I predict No-Sale

Dealers need to finally get the message that the market has stabilized for the new G63. I understand the initial rush when it first came out -- it was an incredibly upgrade of a truly iconic model.
But we're two Model Years (in the US) into its launch, so we should be back down to MSRP, and we're in a pandemic lockdown, so we should actually be bordering <MSRP.

The Monrony shows a MSRP around $165k.
The late bidders know that and will bid below that number.
Remember there is a commission to pay too.

$171k hammer. Anyone know the BAT fees?
Would be smart of a dealer to bid this, and pay 5k-10k over to keep the perception high. Not saying that is happening here but would be a small price to pay rather than show weakness in the market. But this is a well spec'd G63 and it shows very well in the pics and at 5k mi on the clock its basically brand new. And buyer gets it fast and enjoys it without the dealer hassle. Economics of buying/selling a car this fast are poor assuming seller in CA pail full taxes.

Amazing.
As our economy continues to spiral downward (10m jobs lost in March), it will be interesting to see what a used 2020 G63 w/5k miles would sell for in a month from now.

Good question. That is one reason I will find it interesting. The news is saying we have lost twice the amount of jobs already than the number of jobs lost during the great depression. We are in a downward trajectory still and will continue for a while. Who knows what the future holds.
In my twenties if I had $165k to blow on an expense/car in this economy, I wouldn't have batted an eye In 2008 when the economy tanked, I bought a brand new 2008 Corvette Z06 w/505 HP naturally aspirated for $61k ($82k MSRP). NFW would that deal have come along w/out a tanked economy. They were selling at $5k-$10k over MSRP previously. I couldn't pass it up.

There are still way more people working than not and those that were well off still are.
5% buyer's fee on BAT so the selling price was pretty high and more than I thought given it had 5k miles.

Do people not realize that it's a regular production car?
I just got offered a brand new one for $40k over MSRP today. Turned it down. They came back with $25k. Turned it down.
They'll still find some fool willing to pay, probably $20k.
Even though I don't condone it (I got my SLS Black Series at MSRP despite it going for $50k-$100k when it first came out), it would've made more sense to see this kind of ADM if we're talking about an AMG GT Black Series... Not a G63.
Before anyone jumps on me, yes, I know G-Class production is factory capacity limited. It's still "unlimited" though.
