Thumbs up

It looks like you might be able to access the nuts by taking the carpet panel out just below the cup holder, however, just removing the two Torx screws at the front of it does not allow it to move. It appears that there are two more screws further back and to access them, one would have to remove the seat!

Could this be true? Has anyone replaced/removed their cup holder?

Also, when I searched replacement cup holders (in case I broke my trying to fix it), there are two parts numbers shown (463 680 23 91 9040 and 463-680-23-91-7194) that look like the same item. One is about $100 and the other is about $200. Does anyone know what the difference is?

Thanks.
we have two G550s both preowned and both arrived with the “ basketball net” cup holders deformed so that they were not usable.
the honest truth is that I just carefully and deliberately bent the holders so that they performed as designed. No replacement required.
the cup holder on AMAZON is also installed on the drivers side air vent. It works very well, however it does block airflow some what.
good luck, be careful bending the cup holder and enjoy your 550!!!

The cupholder was meant to be installed with the console off the vehicle.

To anyone planning to remove the hoop cupholder, the nuts holding the screws fall off behind the console. Its tucked behind the console and carpets and no easy way to get them out.
