Congrats!! Can't wait to see pics. Mine has been at the Port in Baltimore since June 8th. Sales manager told me "he spoke to distribution and they are working on expediting it". GM told me on the 8th it would be here by end of last week or latest early this week! Still waiting!

same here. the sales manager put a “Priority 1” tag on it to get it to NJ dealer asap. she thinks by end of this month. She was surprised it was sitting at port so long but hopefully her marking it as Priority should speed process along faster.
In regards to mark up/market adjustment.. I can’t stand the people on the board that say they wouldn’t pay over sticker right now.. you either wait or pay! however you can find ultimate spec (magno with red interior, carbon) for 10-12k over in mid west or out East right now .. 5-7500 over is sweet spot for most g63 at dealerships right now. They will (should) take it. I had 5 diff deals at those prices .. if you put a little work in...and by that I mean search autotrader every day.. when you see a new listing reach out.. offer them an immediate sale and a price.. ignore Cali though, I still have dealers calling me telling me they have a deal at 45k over, its a joke (but they are saying they are getting it).. For a lot of people on here those premiums don’t matter , but it sure feels better knowing you didn’t get taken advantage of..

my NJ dealer sold one for 35k over! people are still willing to pay. i found my perfect spec so dealt with paying 15k over or i would have risked searching endlessly for another perfect spec or take delivery of my incoming 550. This G63 ticked all my boxes and even the trail package has grown on me.

I am not blaming you, 15k and have it now not bad. And best choice you made is going g63 route - I have 19 g550, just got the 20 g63 and
so much happier / think it’s so much more .
Hi Everyone!!! here you go. pics posted. still at dealer getting prepped so sorry for iphone pics... Car is insane... what an event to drive... everything flawless... just pondering if i should swap for bigger rims. THOUGHTS?
getting tint done and contemplating just putting on xpel in the front versus entire car as originally thought ... my other cars have full wraps but they are supercars and very low to the ground.... but this G may be overkill to wrap entire car given its height and shape. THOUGHTS?
special thanks to fabbrisd1 for his guidance... he knows what i mean :-) ... he is the best resource in any of these forums... so thank you!
Nice. I am talking to my PPF installer now about what to do on mine, which will be here soon. We decided to do the front, full hood and front fenders (Suntek) and ceramic coat (OptiCoat Pro) on the entire vehicle.
Congrats! Looks great - love that interior choice.
Unless you find a buyer for the rims right now, I'd see how it goes and get larger if you find something you like better. Should have no problem moving them.
I think I'm going to go with xpel with full front to the windshield and the side view mirrors. Maybe door edges and cups but I think full vehicle is a bit much. The front is pretty horizontal though so even partial front and fenders may be enough.
thanks guys! this is my first benz and what a way to get into the brand with G Wagon... dealer very professional... class acts. great experience. one of things that my range rover lacked was the “event” factor... this is in a class on it own. ever drive will be an event. I did test drive the Urus... while it was modestly faster, i couldnt get comfortable with the styling.... and depreciation is going to be a beast on them!
Looks great! I echo what others have said. Would PPF the whole front and maybe the lower sides and fenders to prevent rock chips since he wheels/tires do kick up a lot. Then ceramic coat the whole thing. It would probably also not hurt to use Exoshield or a like material on the windshield.
IN MY EXPERIENCE - I wrapped my 2018 GTR all over and frankly after spending the money don’t think it is worth the extra expense as opposed to a front end and windshield wrap.
I just had my 2020 G63 wrapped and the windshield done and am very pleased with the results;
XPEL PRO - Complete front end to the front door edges except the bull bar to include; - Complete Hood, - Front end around the grill and intake vents - Front Fenders - Front Fender Flairs - Complete from front end to the running board. - Headlight Lenses (a cracked/broken lense is very expensive) - Windshield Frame Complete - Running Boards outer edges - Sill Plates - All four and rear cargo sill trim plate
- Door sill openings painted area to door edge - Mirror housings - flat wrap
Somebody described the G Wagon perfectly when they said “It’s a beautiful brick” going down the road. With that in mind, my project goal was to minimize/eliminate front end paint chips, dents and scratches and windshield chips/cracks.
Hopefully, I have accomplished my goal. We’ll see over time.
For those who are considering these projects, please remember what has been said many, many times, the installer and using high quality products are the key to a good job. In other words you get what you are willing to pay for.
I’ve had cars 100% wrapped, McLaren 675LT, and others partially wrapped, Porsche TTS. I always think of a wrap as an investment proportional to the value of the vehicle.
With that said, I am only going to wrap the hood, front bumper, grill and front fenders of my G.
