Hi everyone... in my prior threads, I mentioned I ordered a 550 and it was set to arrive in Sept. Build date was 3rd week of July. Well, I found my dream spec G63 so I could not resist! Its at the Port and I should have it by month end... I know I wanted a 550 but was always concerned with the pickup and torque as I also own supercars including a McLaren 720s... So went for the gusto...
Let me know what you think about my new car!!! It has tow package which wasnt my first choice but I will get aftermarket rims asap. Love to hear everyone’s thoughts. Anything missing???
Oh yah - on the mark-up, I paid 15K over sticker... they wanted 35K. I can deal with 15K over sticker.

Congratulations. A supercar will be a supercar, but there is something special about the G63. It moves fast, but it also heaves and feels like a truck. That combination makes it feel really exciting to floor the pedal.
Also don't worry about the mark up. Everyone on the forums will proudly state their no-mark up deals, but the fact is most of these G63 are sold for mark ups. For the vast majority of no-mark up deals that were delivered in the past, there was some extra circumstances that led to that deal which were not clearly explained (i.e. the G63 is the 7th car purchased by that person from that dealer).
Everyone has a figure they are ok paying to get whatever they want earlier. I don't know why people fuss about mark-ups. Its capitalism. If you have it and can live with it, its a no brainer.
I also agreed to pay $15K over for my G 63. My dealer told me last week that my G finally has a ship assignment. They said I should get it around the end of July
If you don’t mind, I would love to see some photos and more details on the rear entertainment screens. I haven’t seen a new G wagen with them yet. Really interested to see what they look like and how they work.

good point. Thats the other item that i would not have ordered is the entertainment screen but on second thought, outside of the fact it came with the car, it will probably be good for the kids... Not sure how they work but they are touch screen and can access movies, internet etc... with two kids, thats a perfect distraction... here are pics from catalog...
also, the build sheet has “G Class scratch resistance paint” which i never heard of.

agree but there seems to be a focus on how much G63 go for... can u get them for msrp, 15k over, 35k over etc... its a datapoint. 15k seems to be the magic number.
hi guys, one question... notice my car doesnt come with the expanded digital front display... is that now included as free option for G63 or my car will have the standard odometer dial display?
The digital speedometer is standard in 2020 G63's, but there was a thread earlier saying some maybe still came with analog gauges but that was in the beginning of the model year.

wait so to clarify your G63 came with the analog dials instead of the digital dashboard? What was the build date of the car? There could have been a parts shortage due to COVID is what I'm thinking.

No no. i am hoping it doesnt come with analog. I havent seen it yet but assuming since its a late 2020 delivery, it should come with digital screen. was just curious why it wasnt listed as an option on my car ... I wasnt aware that it was standard for the 2020's.

The scratch resistant paint came out years ago as a nano ceramic paint, it was on my 04 E55. It’s now probably a newer version. I’m currenty looking for a G550 so we will have a similar stable. See ya on mac life. Tom A.
