G63 arrives but dealer asking to pay mark up, any solution?

they're playing with your emotions. Just because we can pay the markup doesn't mean we should. If dealer doesn't honor the 10k over (which is 10k too much for me), vote with your money. Time to find another dealer and leave reviews wherever you can. Bad practice and not something you should commit out of principal either.

I was the first on the list but as they got an allocation, they called me up and asked for $10K markup on the Ed1. I didn’t want Ed1 and let alone pay the markup, they said they’ll order other one to my spec for me, but I walked away and had them refund my deposit. I custom ordered the one that I have from the sister dealership where I got my 911 from - they didn’t even take any deposit and delivered my custom configured g63. The whole delivery experience was amazing. I walked away from the first one as a matter of principle and just waited a bit longer to have much better experience and the result.
just walk away and find some other dealership.

Thank you very much all!!! I took your advice. I was being patient with their game. After 2 days of drama, I picked up the car at the promised 10k mark up today. Hate the process, glad it all worked out.

hey
Sucks when they ruin a beautiful experience cause of lack of integrity and greed. But at least you got your truck. Blank them from your mind and enjoy your new ride. Congrats.

Me. I'm not proud of it, but supply and demand are powerful forces.
BTW, I paid $15K over for my G 63. I've driven it for two days, and I'm glad I didn't let a relatively modest $15K stop me from doing something that makes me happy. Life is short. A hundred years from now who cares about $15K?
That said, had I made a gentleman's agreement with my dealer for MSRP (like the OP), and the dealer wanted to charge one penny more, then I would not accept the new terms.
I think we can all learn a lesson from the OP's experience. Gentleman's agreements are fine if both parties are honorable. However, car dealers are somewhat unpredictable (euphemism for unsavory) it's best to memorialize the deal points in writing.

You're preaching to the choir
I've purchased about a dozen new Ferraris over the past 20 years, and every single transaction was a miserable experience. Every single one. The bloom was off the rose every time. I couldn't understand why I was always treated poorly? Over the years, I came to realize that Ferrari dealers treat all of their clients poorly. LOL. It's not Ferrari that's to blame (the factory has a great attitude, and will do anything for their clients...but you'll have to pay for it of course). It's the dealerships. They're the problem.

Something very similar to this happened to me once with Ferrari of Palm Beach. I bought a 458 coupe only because the GM told me I had to buy a used Ferrari first before he would let me order a 458 Spider at sticker from the dealership. I did it and he gave me a buy back price of 255K as long as I didn't put too many miles on the car and the Carfax report was clean. I had this letter on dealership letterhead signed by myself and the GM. The GM ended up getting fired before my new Spider was delivered and when my Spider was delivered to the dealer the new GM didn't want to honor the deal that I had in writing from the previous GM. We had a big spat and I threatened to sue if they didn't uphold the valid contract I had with the dealership. After about a week they ended up letting me close on my new Spider and honored the deal for the trade in 458 coupe at the price that was agreed to between the previous GM and I. It was a very stressful and nerve wracking situation to deal with and I was angry and felt no joy at buying a $310K MSRP new car (my first new Ferrari ever). It still pisses me off they put me through bull**** like that with what should've been a joyous occasion and I have never done business with that dealer again.
