For me personally, I guess when you're spending this much money, you want the latest and greatest tech they have.

Having never had a Benz before or shopped any other models, I'm not familiar with the whole MBUX thing--isn't it just like COMAND except you have a touch screen and can say "Hey Mercedes"? Is there anything else extra?

It looks like the new 2021 S-Class will get the second generation of MBUX with a Tesla-like iPad plopped on the dash. I’d rather have an integrated screen like the current version. If it is going to be installed at a major G refresh or redesign, it could be 2022 or 2026 if on a 7-year cycle.

I'd agree with you, but when half or more than half of your current cars either have or getting the newest tech they offer then there is no reason not to have it in their flagship vehicle.

The thing is, it isn't a 'brand new technology' they're offering since it's in their other cars, now if it was something completely brand new and none of their vehicles had it I'd agree.
