G550
Looking for a new G550. Do you guys think it's possible to get a G550 for MSRP?
Lastly, do you think its worth shelling out the extra money for a G63 for the depreciation / potential resell value VS getting a G550 and the value depreciating faster?
Thoughts?

Yes for all your questions. The wait is on the G63, from what I have seen/been told.

You can definitely get a G550 at MSRP easy. PM me if you need assistance. And, yes, it is definitely worth shelling out the extra $ for the G63 if you can afford it. It retains it's value better and it is in much higher demand. You can get a 550 pretty quick but most places are a 1 year wait or longer for a new G63 order. You can also get a G63 at MSRP but be ready to use some elbow grease! If you are determined you can make it happen. I did.

Depends on how the 550 is optioned. If you are going sub $140k I would stick with 550. I optioned mine up to $150k and had the exact same dilemma. It’s about $13-15k more to get a 63 for me so I’ve decided to go for it.
If you pay over market for a G63 it steepens the depreciation curve and unless you flip it immediately or soon after, you likely won’t see any of the ADM back.
Getting either vehicle at MSRP is possible but much harder for 63.

My experience (first here in Miami and then reaching out to other areas in the US) was that any in stock vehicles sold quickly and over MSRP. AutoNation (MB Pompano Beach) was particularly bad in that I could reserve the in stock vehicle from their web site, get a trade appraised and make a deposit at MSRP but when I showed up they said the vehicle was sold to someone else unless I paid $25k over. Ordering was the only way to buy at MSRP and was told that could be a 12 month wait for production to catch up. I went with CPO and even some of those are nearing their original MSRP for 2019 and 2020. Good luck!

What year and what model (550 or 63) did you buy CPO and from what dealer?

I bought a 2017 G550 with 2600 miles on it last week from Benzel-Busch in Englewood, NJ. They made it an extremely pleasurable long distance transaction and I was able to get a lower price than originally advertised. Will be using MB Coral Gables for service and avoiding AutoNation for the rest of my life.

I recently bought from the Autonation dealer in Orlando and another member bought my original build at their sister store (also Autonation) at the Orlando North store and we both had great experiences. No pressure for extra crap and both stores said no markups on ordered vehicles and we both paid MSRP.
