So, I found a dealer close by (100 miles) that are the 3rd largest AMG dealer in the USA, so they get quite a few allocations and are able to fill them out for that MY.
They're asking for a 5k deposit that goes towards the car, so that's not a problem, tho it isn't refundable which doesn't bother me since I plan of buying it,even if it's a year until I finally drive it off the lot.
As, for price she said it would be MSRP, so let's hope that stays that way, hahahaha.

Sounds pretty standard, did they give you a build with a purchase order number and estimated build month yet or are you at the request stage?
If this is the only dealer that you are talking to, the non-refundable deposit isn't a big deal, but if you are looking around I'd argue to make the deposit refundable until you get a PO number.
I don't see the dealer pulling an ADM fast one on you with a non-refundable deposit, that wouldn't be fair.

Congrats. Get “G63 order will be sold at MSRP to buyer” in writing. If the dealer is ethical they should have no issue. I put down a $5k non refundable deposit in July and got a PO # immediately for a November 2020 build. Since then my dealer has even been able to move me up to an October 2020 build. My dealer is amazing!! Before I started working with him I had a refundable deposit at another dealer for 8 months and got nothing tangible from them over that entire period. A high integrity, ethical dealer makes the process so simple and enjoyable!
I haven't done anything yet, so no PO # or any build date as of now, but once I do it this week I'll ask her.

I have the same thing as I have another 'order' but nothing in writing or any money down for one at a local dealer, but they only get about 5 or so a year, so who knows how long that will be, but it's a back up.

Yes your deposit shouldn’t be non refundable until you have a purchase order. Anybody can take a request it doesn’t really mean much until the dealership gets an allocation. Then you are in business.
Even then it really should be refundable until the build locks but every dealer is different.

It is, my saleswomen even told me their the 3rd largest AMG dealer in the US and that's why they get a lot of G63 allocations and why I got mine much earlier than usual.

With admittedly zero data to back it up but taking into account population size and average income in certain areas, I have to think dealers in LA, Miami, and NYC move the most AMG's.
However, I guess with AMG models now including 45 and 53 models, I suppose somebody could sell a crapload of CLA45s and claim to be the largest AMG dealer.
When I spoke to a guy in Charlotte he claimed to be one of the top sellers of G63's in the country. Easy to make claims when there's no way to look up the data.

I live in the area and by the looks of their IG and showroom, they do A LOT of AMG but no idea where they 'rank'. I actually contacted them when I was wanting to buy a G and they wouldn't give me the time of day, wouldn't answer messages or return a call. I told them I was about an hour away and that completely cut everything off. I ended up going to Mercedes of Louisville and while they're not as 'big', they sold me a G63 at MSRP. The entire process was beyond easy and I picked it up last week as one of the first 2021's.

Did it come up in discussion where you live? I imagine most dealers won't sell out of region and those who do will gladly put an ADM on it.

When I called back in August and spoke with my saleswomen she mentioned that they don't take deposit from outta state and tend to stick to the area, but since Northern KY is basically Cincinnati too, and I'm from Columbus she spoke with her manager and they made an exception and I got lucky.
