Key won't turn
ok so I am working on this 05 g wagon g-500 and had the key in the dash for a long time i didn't know you shouldn't well after adding lights and fixing some very bad stereo instalation the key no longer works the switch or the metal key i have tried to activate the remote i dont know what else to do

Is the year you posted correct? An '05 would not have a metal key for the ignition
If is is really a '95 (which has a metal key), there is known issue with the ignition lock cylinders suddenly freezing up.
If '05 is correct, check they battery voltage to make sure it is not discharged (+12.6 volts) and if the battery is good, make sure you haven't disturbed the can bus connections at the stereo head unit. The EIS communicates with the ECU via can to validate the key that is inserted.
