RENNtech | Downpipes w/200 Cell

RennTech - Has anyone had these down pipes fitted to the new model GWagon at all? I’m tempted...

I have thought if something like a high flow cat for my 2020 G550...have to see if they have something for mine.

I have a full Akrapovic exhaust system with link pipes and the OPF filter removed and it’s been mapped to 800BHP. Realistically what would a 200CEL RennTech CAT & header pipes really do over and above this? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Who did the tune yours? Any CEL issues? I'm tempted to do those Renntech pipes as well, but not sure they will add much actual value/feel, and I'd rather not deal with check engine lights. Their HHT seems like a no brainer bang for buck improvement.

My TUNE was done by DMS a well regarded UK firm. Although I’m sure RennTech are an excellent option I went with DMS as they have an actual office in the UK (RennTech don’t) should I have had any issues, they also offer a bespoke tuning service adjusting based on the Dyno and my specific requests but it was $$$$$. I’m pleased to say I’ve had zero issues and I can’t imagine you would with RennTech ether.

My advice on the tune is to go for the the most reputable and best there is to avoid CEL issues, they have a good reputation for a reason! I went for an Akrapovic Exhaust System as I love the look of them and the sound they produce is excellent when you get the link pipes as well! Good Luck 👍

I have the Renntech package on my wife's G65, and it's fantastic. Very pleased with their tunes, so I'll probably go that route. My wife's previous G63 (2013) had cat-less downpipes and cutout exhaust, with a custom tune from Boost Logic. It ran great and sounded awesome. I'd rather stick with someone like Renntech on the newest model though since they have been in the game for so long, and I can plug in and remove the HHT if needed. The Boost Logic tune required remapping of the ECU, so that was a bit more involved. Your 800bhp tune sounds like it would be a pretty wild ride!

Yes it’s wild and it almost feels like the engine wants to tear out of the chassis! The noise is unbelievable, I was very disappointed with the stock sound of my G.

Very happy with the end result, removing the OPF filter makes a massive difference! I was just curious if a 200CEL CAT would take it up another level...!

I have the RENNtech 200 cel cats on my 17 g63 and sound amazing. A nice deep rumble. Also installed a tune from OE Tuning. Really woke up the G.
