Burmester speaker issue

Hey guys,

I have a new 2020 G63. has 500 miles on the clock.

Ive noticed the speakers in the front doors, particularly the ones near the handles and the one and the bottom edge of the door (by your feet) seem to rattle like crazy. Its supposed to be a great systems, but every type of music seems to rattle the speakers. I think when I slam the doors shut it might disrupt the plastic. When I push on the speaker grills rattle seems to go away. But then returns after a few bumps. Curious if anyone is dealing with this? Any simple fixes?

Thx

There was another thread about door speaker rattles in the new G. MB may have a fix kit for it.

I have a new G550 and have noticed rattles on occasion. They don't seem to come from the speakers, though--more from the doors themselves.

Um yes. My 2020 G550 has been in the shop for a combined 20 days to deal with this and it still isn’t fixed. Very poor design from the factory. The door panel is the resonant cavity for the mid drivers in the bottom of the doors. Everything rattles like crazy and honestly, it’s worse now then when they first touched it. Every time they pull the door panels to fix something, they create more rattles in another part of the door. Super frustrating.

That was my thread and MB finally came back with a “fix” that hasn’t fixed it.
