Anyone have pics of 4x4 style fenders on w463 with minor lift ??
I was debating doing the widestar conversion or just getting the carbon fiber 4x4 style fenders for my g63 w463. I have decided to do the fenders because of the price and I already have the 4x4 style tailgate, roof spoiler, etc.
it is also easier body work Wise do fenders my car is designo matte black easier color to do (relatively) for just that.
The only issue is my truck is going to only be lifted 2” with spring spacers and has aggressive all terrain tire 275/55/20 with wide wheel spacers from H&R. i am not going to do anymore lifting.
i am concerned the wide fenders with small lift might not look so good. I have seen several widestar that look good without a lift or a minor lift/bigger wheels. Never any 4x4 style.
if anyone has pics or suggestions pls post up

What width spacers are you going to use? I would think that with even the widest spacer (50mm), your tires are going to sit way inside the 4x4 fenders. The 31mm spacers essentially make factory offset wheels sit just flush with the factory fenders. The 50mm spacers are only 1/2" wider. The 4x4 flares add about 3"-4" to the fender width. Unless you get a custom offset wheel and pair it with the spacers I think you will likely end up with a funny looking set up. Even if you got the wider wheels it might look kind of strange to have the wide fenders with short lift and small tires. Just my opinion though.

Unfortunately you are right this, setup would require crazy spacers and still look goofy at angles unless I went with custom built wheels.i wish they had made 4x4 style fenders 1/2 as wide which would have been much easier to pull off.
I decided to stick with the brabus widestar kit instead and use the 4x4 accessories alongside it. I also going to do the brabus CF snorkel.
i believe the overall lift and look would come together much more nicely this way.
it’s a WIP but back to gathering parts and slowly building
If my other truck wasn’t in the shop getting custom front end done this would have been complete by the holidays.
