Placing an Order at a Dealer - NYC
After many many months of surfing this forum, Autotempest, Cargurus, Autotrader, etc. to try to find a 2019+ G63, I decided to bite the bullet and pre-order one from a dealership and just wait the 12-18 months.
I am located in NYC and intend on going into the MB Manhattan store since it is a corporate location and putting down a deposit. Does anyone have any contacts there that they have a good experience with, or since its a corporate store, any salesperson will do?
Any recommendations on whether it is better to do it in-person vs. over the phone?

They have dealership wide policies so any sales person will do. Just be prepared to wait a LONG time, probably the longest wait of any dealership out there. The good thing is you have the least chance of getting screwed once the car arrives.

I talked to a woman there, I think Kelly, when I was looking for a dealer last year, and I was told MSRP for a G550 or G63, much longer wait for the latter. I wound up ordering from a dealer here in FL at MSRP so it goes to show that one does not have to pay ADM!

no. got a g63 2020. i ordered a 550 (gorgeous) and didnt want to wait almost 2 years for a G63. MSRP was close to 170k. then got a call from sales manager that my dream spec 63 is at the port, customer backed out because of covid and its mine if i wanted... this was my ideal spec. decision easy. bought it for about 195k .

Avoid silver star motor in LIC, bunch of clowns running the business. Ordered a 2019 g63 in 2018, waited a year( with MSRP deal written on the sales order). As soon as the car was released from port, they called and wanted 25k ADM. Their General sales manager Mo Elsheemy is a joke. End up getting the car (Same spec) out of state in NC.
