G63 2020 - Strange sound while changing gears!
Hello Everyone. i got my G63 2020 and drove it without issue for 10 months. however, i noticed a strange sound while changing gears between R&D and vice versa.
the sound is loud. however my dealer says there is no issue and it is normal sound that can be found on all 2018-2010 G63 cars!!!
i am attaching the videos with the sound.
as the new G63 owners did you experience the same issue? and did anyone find a fix?

I have a 2020 G 63 with about 6,000 miles, and it doesn't make any strange sounds at all. But my Toyota Land Cruiser would make similar noises occasionally when I'd change between drive and reverse when on an incline (and the car was rolling a little bit). It never made any nosies when I'd change gears on level ground. I'd ask the MB dealer (preferably speak to a mechanic directly) for a more detailed explanation of the noise.

my G63 started this sound after bringing it back from the first 15,000KM service! it started first when it was on an incline. however, the sound remains on a level ground. i spoke directly to the mechanic who says he is still not sure why this is happening and he thinks break pads are creating this issue! break pads were changed but the issue still remains. AMG team from Germany also thought it might be from break pads and no other advice was provided from Germany!!
the car is still with the dealer to find the issue.

I think something happened when they serviced your G 63. Keep pressure on the dealer to find the problem. Don't accept that those noises are normal. I bet they'll figure it out...especially if you stand your ground.
my dealer says the sound is normal because this sound can be noticed in some other G63! which i do not agree. the sound was not there when i bought the car and drove it for 15,000km without any sounds.

The sound I am hearing is a creaking suspension when the vehicle moves/rocks slightly when changing gears...nothing to worry me.

My 2020 g63 makes this noise when I very slowly let off the brake after putting it in drive or reverse. It typically happens after I had just washed my car and it sat for a couple hours so I figured it was just soap residue or something causing the brake pads to stick to the rotors slightly.

The sound the Land Cruiser makes at times is something a normal person would never expect to hear from an expensive car 
If I were a first time buyer and I heard this noise during a test drive, I'd get out of there as fast as I could.
It's surprising that G wagons make so many strange noises. I've got 6,000 "noise-free" miles, so far, on my 2020 G 63 Regardless, I could not be happier. I drove Land Cruisers as my daily driver for the past 25 years. After driving a G 63 for six months, I hope I'll be driving G wagons for the next 25 years...or until they are outlawed in California. LOL.

Regardless, I could not be happier. I drove Land Cruisers as my daily driver for the past 25 years. After driving a G 63 for six months, I hope I'll be driving G wagons for the next 25 years...or until they are outlawed in California. LOL. My Lexus GX and LXs were also prone to a clattering noise like your Land Cruiser, but the noise sounded more like a relay chatter than gears bumping. It only occurred on incline starts, and I assumed it was the traction control trying to make up its mind. No such noises on my 2019 G550.

I also have similar sound, now I see that its seems normal, Its 100% breaking pads. I have trying to hit break with diffrent preasure and change gears, and if you press break not so much there is no that sound. When I was notice that sound I think gearbox say hello )

It might be from the water once you clean your car. it happened to me on different occasions
