tire replacment

Have a '19 G63 ED 1 with 25k miles on it and the fronts are about done. Car came stock with GY Eagle 295/40R22's. Wondering if anyone has replaced theirs yet and have any suggestions other than the stock?

Thanks

That's an expensive tire (~$500/ea. per tirerack.com) to carry no treadlife warranty, and to last only 25K. Were you having them balanced and rotated every 5K? If treadlife is your #1 concern, talk to your tire dealer for a recommendation. I've found Michelins have excellent warranties (~60K), but you might need to deviate slightly in profile to find a fit.

thank you for the response. No I did not rotate them every 5k miles as it seems a bit excessive and I was not aware of any mileage warranties for a tire of this type. I switched from Pirelli to Michelins on my GTS which worked out well (as it did on the C and E 63's before that) but this wagon is a different animal. What is worse is that not even Goodyear can seem to locate any!

My '19 G550 came with Pirelli Scorpion "all season" tires, which exclude 3 of the seasons here in Colorado. I mounted Yokohama Geolander A/T's as I wanted a year round tire -- the Yok's have been great wear-wise and weather-wise. I decided to mount a 5th Yok as a spare, and that's when I discovered the OE spare didn't match the Pirellis, but was instead a smaller Continental 265/50R20 (apparently a Pirelli 275/50R20 wouldn't fit under the tire cover. What size spare did you get with the GY's (easiest way to check is the tire sticker on the driver's side door frame ("B-pillar") that lists front, rear and spare tire sizes).
