New to the MB world - 2017 G63
I introduced myself over at clubgwagen but thought I'd do the same here.
My name is Weston and I have been modifying Toyota/Lexus platforms for the past fifteen years. I've always been enthralled with the G and pulled the trigger last week on this 2017 G63. The goal is to lift approxmiately 4", fit 35x1250 tires, reroute the exhaust, install sliders and a winch plate/bumper, roof rack/rooftop tent, then a custom rear drawer system with some electronics upgrades.
I have a few questions out of the gate:
- I'm considering removing the chrome bull bar and replacing with the filler plates. Is there a market for these? Or how likely is it I could find someone to swap me painted filler plates for the bar?
- Is there an easy way to figure out if I have remote start? It looks like you press the alarm button for a half second to initiate, but so far no luck so I am assuming I don't.
- Very happy to have Android Auto but slightly bummed it's wired only. Are there any updates or solutions to provide wireless Android Auto?
I'm sure I'll have more questions as I get more familiar with this platform, but I am brand new to these and would love any and all input from the vets here!

Congratulations. Nice looking rig. As for the remote start, that is only available through the connect me app. Not sure if it came with 2017 but my 2018 has it.
