2010 G550 -- Whistling Noise / Tire Hitting Gas Tank?
Hi Everyone - For the last few weeks, I've been dealing with this really apparent whistling noise when I begin driving off. I thought it was a power steering issue, but after taking the car to the Benz service shop for a Service A. They took a look at it and essentially concluded that my gas tank is hitting my tires. Has anyone ever encountered or experienced this? Possible that any one know how this happened in the first place? or a possible fix?
Benz is trying to tell me they need to replace the whole gas tank. A Mechanic in my family think that's not necessary and could either be a suspension issue where one side is lower than the other or the gas tank is sagging because of something.
