It’s very confusing and misleading for new members to not have clear differentiation between the new and old models.
As you know, the current G Class has nothing in common with the previous generations. Only the rear tire cover, door locks, and headlamp washers were carried over.
All of the mechanical issues from the current generation do not apply to the previous generation.

Surely the W463A/464/MY2019+ G is worth a separate forum like just about every other model generation on MB World.

Maybe I'm not understanding what you are asking for, but there are already two different forums. (460, 461, 463) and (463A), and even AMG G55 (463) (so three technically). There is a sub-title on them that shows what models they cover. Sometimes people don't realize there are multiple forums though, so they post in the wrong one.
