Fire extinguisher mount
Is there a place to mount a 3-5lb fire extinguisher in the G-class? I've seen them mounted on the floor under the passenger seat but I'd rather not drill into metal (another point of rust lol).

First Alert markets a compact fire extinguisher in a 14 oz. aerosol can that fits into a door pocket, cup holder, or other small space. Not sure what size fires you want to mitigate, but this bottle beats nothing. I recall seeing a Youtube demo regarding its capability.

I have a few cans of those actually. I keep them in a plastic trunk in the back of the truck. Costco was selling 12 packs for something like $40. I used one once to put out a fire in my fire pit (I wanted to see how effective it was). Worked pretty well but you have to be within 5 or so feet of the fire. A regular extinguisher can has a much more powerful stream.
I ended up putting a 4lb extinguisher in the netting under the passenger footwell.
I think I am going to mount a bracket in the rear cargo area to the right of the door (underneath where the rear park sensor indicator is). There is nothing solid to drill into besides the plastic trim, but I think it should hold a 5lbs extinguisher nicely.

oh, that looks great [
