Improving ambient lighting?

Is there a way to improve the stock ambient lighting in the G?

The footwell lights are bright enough, but the door pocket lights, door handle lights and the single overhead light (in the rear view mirror) are all pretty dim. The fluorescent yellow color is pretty off-putting, too. Is there a way to increase the brightness and change the color?

Also, as an aside question, does there exist an all-digital gauge cluster retrofit? There are plenty of modern HU replacements available, but I've not seen anything that would replace the gauges with a high-res LCD.

Thanks!

Can't answer the gauge cluster ?, but for brighter lights try an online supplier such as superbrightleds.com. There should be led replacements for most common filament type automotive bulbs.

There is a kit that replaces the oem lighting and adds more “oem” mounted ambient lighting. It’s also multi color

check it out on aliexpress you’ll see the product I’ll post a link when I’m on the computer

it’s made for the w463 so search w463 ambient lighting

I purchased this kit for my 2005 from Amazon. All the lights have worked well and are much brighter/more modern than the OE halogens.

For the puddle lights under the doors, my light housings were falling apart so I purchased these. They work well but take a little bit of force to install.

As for the gauge cluster, I have not seen anything that is plug and play to fit in the OE space. It could always be done with a standalone but those will be pricy and require a ton of customization.
