2002 G500 TC Controller Replacement
I recently had my TC motor replaced by a mechanic that said it was the cause of TC errors but from everything I’ve read (and the fact I still get TC in neutral warnings) I believe the controller needs to be replaced. I’ve never had the car show a mechanical issue because of the TC, it just gives the warning when the door is open with the car running and the E brake isn’t on and the little high low box is blank/filled.
i know it requires pulling the center console and I was curious if this can be done at home (I’m far away from a dealer) or does it need programming or other special tools? I’m experienced mechanically and have a big shop but have limited MB experience.
Also when I push my locking diffs button the bottom orange light comes on but red never does, is there a chance it won’t engage or is locked out when in a TC Neutral state or is that more likely another vacuum leak?
thanks much for any advice you have.
