2016 G550 vibration possible transmission-engine? Anyone familiar with this problem?
I have a 2016 G550 One owner with 26,000 miles. Getting vibrations, so replaced steering stabilizer as well as new alignment and tires road force balanced through dealer and it’s significantly helped with vibration in seat and steering wheel while driving. But noticing at 1500 RPM‘s and 2200 rpm’s a vibration. While driving at 1500 RPM’s and take my foot off the excelerator pedal vibration goes away, same at 2200 rpm’s. So I put the vehicle in park and slowly rev the engine from idle and is very smooth til it hits1500 rpm’s then noticeable vibration to about 1700 rpm’s, smooth again until 2200 rpm’s and vibration back to 2300 rpm’s, and completely smooths out from there on to red line. When vehicle downshifts while driving, it does so usually at about 2300 rpm’s and drops down to 1500 rpm’s. Is that just a coincidence?Could that be a sign of transmission or torque converter issues? Dealer said they checked motor mounts and transmission mount and they are ok. Any ideas on what this could be or has anyone else experienced this problem?
