Transmission g500 '02
Thoughts on buying replacement transmission for mb g500 '02. Rebuilt v. used/like new? both from well-reviewed but unknown sources. Many thanks for input, advice a/o suggestions.

I think it would depend on the cost difference. The 722.6 transmission mechanics are pretty much bullet proof, but if you go the used route, replace the conductor plate and the external connector/O-ring before installation. Both are failure prone. Be sure you get one from (used) or for (rebuilt) a G as I believe there is an internal sensor difference between the G and the garden variety 722.6.
