In Australia, a lot of our 4wding can involve water crossings so I have been evaluating various snorkel options. The carbon fibre Brabus option was way too expensive. Bravo (Spanish) make a good looking alternative but it involves chopping into your fender and relocating the windscreen washer reservior. I finally settled on the ORC snorkels which are reasonably easy to fit and the quality of the fittings are quite robust. They are a bit noisy with the driver window open as the air intake faces the rear whereas Bravo faces the front.
I like that..... what is the plate on the left side looking at pic over the mount ? Did you have to drill /tap holes on the upright ? a dorkel is one of the things my wife actually asked me to find for the G.... we learned the value of it in our 80 series real-time when Harvey hit Houston.....
The only drilling required is on the A pillar where you need to rivet the mounting bracket for the upright. Both snorkels attach over the original intake vents but because the LHS vent is so far forward they include a bracket which just bolts in the engine bay using existing hardware. I have attached some more photos for your reference.

I have a Victorian High Country tag-along trip booked for April 2023. Apparently the last day involves 22 river crossings! That will test them out and I will post some photos after the event.
