Good morning. I am in the process of purchasing a 2018 G550. Bored with the incredibly comfortable GLE450. Can’t praise the car enough, but it’s time for something new. I have owned older G’s over the years. 2015 being the newest. When researching the 2018 G I’m reading it’s quieter than older models, more comfortable, different brake pedal design, rear windows are flush, and overall just a better truck. I know the flush windows are true, but everything else? Is it really the that much better and noticeable?

There isn't that much difference between your old 15 and an 18. CarPlay and few minor other things. I think the changes you are referring to happened in 2019. For better or worse, i would say those areas you highlighted are accurate. The interior is more refined, the screen doesn't look like it was attached at the last minute, and multiple other subtile changes on the interior and exterior. Lots of good youtube videos on the differences.
