Looking for a G63 engine
I am looking for a low mile M157 engine for a 2017 G63. Any ideas on the best place to find one? There are very few out there, that I have found. Even on scarce on eBay. Thanks in advance!!

Absolutely! I own a shop and we have someone that had just purchased it from a mom and pop dealership out of state. On her way home, it seized while driving. After inspection, the motor was found to have a lot of metal in it and it had cylinder scoring. I would guess at some point the oil was not changed as it should have been or it got real low. The owner is so sweet and we are trying to help her out. I’m a big Mercedes enthusiast as well so that’s why I wanted to see if any of the forum had some prospects. We might have found one with low miles. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I was suspecting you might say bore scoring. I've been wondering if the available oil pressure solenoid that lowers the oil pressure at low loads has anything to do with the bore scoring on m157s.
