hello everyone, I have a mercedes g400 from 2003 w463 1st gen, by mistake i bought w464 style mirrors for w463 2nd gen and the wires are completly different even the plug is different so i needed to cut the wires with the plug from the old mirror and try to find out which wires of the new mirror it will be working. after a lot of time i couldn't find the right wires.
in this moment the only things that are working are turn signals, heating, left and right ways for moving and up and down are working in reverse. i tried almost all the wire combinations and i can't find the right way.
i can tell you more like the old mirror is only working on up/down and left right and have two motors and the new one only have one motor but the new one have also corners moving so the new one have 8 moving places, but my car's mirror button only can be pushed up/down and left/right.
is there someone else that tried to figure this out? i'll attach a photo with the wirings.

Why put the wrong mirrors on? I'd put the correct on one even though I may lose money on buying the wrong mirror the first time. As an aside, I think you got pretty far with it nice work lol.
That's a tough one. Those systems aren't really compatible. The motors and logic are completely different. You're probably not going to get full function without a custom controller or a wiring adapter from a specialty shop. Your best bet is to sell the 464 mirrors and find the correct 463 gen 1 set, or be happy with the partial function you have.
