2021(W463A) G63 factory emblem/badge position

Hi there,

had got my 2021 G63 fully PPF wrapped, however during the process they must remove the factory emblem (both side and rear) off in order to get all the panel covered. I had found out yesterday that one side emblem where the gap between the “V8” and “bi turbo” is slightly wider than the other side. I know I am a little bit of a perfectionist on these details.

I wounded if anyone has any factory emblem measurements available? i.e. at what position does the factory place these badges so that I can go back to the PPF shop and ask them to replicate exactly. I assume the factory uses some sort of framing rather than freestyle it, right?

thanks a lot to all!!

Ugh, that’d annoy me, too! Don’t have the measurements, but you can see the tool used during assembly to apply the badges:

Grabbed a picture from the internet and just measured my car.

2 inches between black trim and V8 and 0.5 inch between the two rows. The Biturbo is almost centered under black trim.

Interesting that it measures in inches. Is there a more precise measurement in mm?

That was my measurement - I used a photo from the internet and placed the text on it.

thanks for that! If it isn’t too much trouble, could someone measure the position of the rear emblems from the top of the taillight and the door jamb?

I know this is radical but I would remove it. I always take off all labels I can on my cars. Think it makes a much cleaner look and I don’t feel I need to broadcast which model I have. I went so far on my S Class Maybach to remove the side emblem which has a wire since it illuminates so I had to have a body shop patch it up. I realize to each their own.
