Hmmm. Maybe those windshield fellas have sticky fingers?? LOL. Sorry. I don't mean to laugh, but stuff like this happens to me all the time
Ha! No, I was there the whole time a few feet away and they would have had to lift the rear seat to access it. But I did just buy one off eBay for $23 shipped.
How did you find the tool so quickly? I'm impressed. I've been Googling everything I could think of like "G wagon wheel center cap tool" and I found some, but it wasn't 100 percent clear if it was for a 2020 G wagon? Can you post the ebay link?

When I was getting my center cap removal tool out of my truck, I noticed an area that looks like it was made to hold a tool, but nothing is there. I hope the answer isn't obvious, but is there something missing that's supposed to be there?

Safety triangle. Not supplied on US bound vehicles. At first I stuck an umbrella in there, but then came across a few triangles from past Euro deliveries.

I have the pop out centers (When I changed them I had to pull each wheel and tap it from behind...I drilled the new ones so I can remove them from the front.) I have seen other wheels that look like they thread in...what is the purpose of the tool? Just want to be more like a 911?
** Now I see the lugs are covered by a wheel center.

I found mine after all - it was in the storage area behind under the rear seat on the driver's side, right where I put it a year ago when I had the AMG 22s installed - thanks to my wife for finding it.
Does anyone have an extra they can sell me? It was under the rear seat and now it is gone!

Lol. Glad you fessed up and credited your wife for the find. Guess it was meant to be that the seller cancelled your order!

Europeans carry road flares. Here they're regarded as weapons and likely to be mistaken for dynamite (lol). I bought an aftermarket tire iron to use with the aftermarket wheel lock key that is a different size than the OE lug bolts, and store it there.
Americans have become very "sensitive" so a road flare might scare a lot of us :-j
Some Ferraris have a button labeled "LC" (Launch Control). But the USDOT would not allow that on cars coming to America (too scarey). Ferrari had to replace the button with "PS" (Power Start) and a picture of a kitten on request :-J
