low dust Disc Italia hyper ceramic brake pads for '21 G63
Front set: $270 Part # HCD2238
Rear set: $250 Part # HCD2239
I had these on my 2016 RR Sport and it was like night and day difference. Hardly any squeaking and like 5-10% of the brake dust. Did not notice a difference in braking performance.
Will definitely get a set on my next G.

I just ordered a set of the disc Italia pads so we'll see how well they do.
Going to stick with rotors I have since they are still have plenty of life according to the measurements allowed.
Wonder how many dealers are convincing people to replace rotors at 1100-1500.00 a pop when they could have been used still.
I believe the allowable thickness is 36mm on the front, and 30mm on the backs. My 2019 is at 32k miles, and rotors measured 32.3 on the backs, and 38.2 on the fronts. and turning them is actually able to be done contrary to what the dealer tells you. and only removes .25/.5 mm or material when turning (some dont recommend turning them at all unless very deep grooving or warping)
So I think they may be fine probably 1/2 the time the dealer recommends new.
It's very simple job maybe 20-30 min per corner. If that.
Thats with out turning the rotors, I don't think I'll bother with turning the rotors, as they are in decent shape and have plenty of life left in them. But add 5 minutes per corner if installing new rotors. If you wanted the rotors turned pulling them off and taking them to a machine shop or even some autoparts stores will do it for you. At shops they usually turn them while on the car to make it quicker and easier, but you could just as well take them off, bring them in, turn them, then put back on.
I had sourced OEM rotors as low as 700.00 per rotor. So realistically if you can turn a wrench, and have ever changed your own oil or put a spare tire on its quite simple. So if you wanted brand new OEM brakes pads and rotors, and you did the labor yourself you could get the price down to @27-2900.00 total for all 4 corners.
Dont let a dealer rip you off on rotors you dont need, dont let them tell you they cant be turned, they can be turned. Dealers say that because theyre cross drilled, but cross drilled steel rotors can be turned.
Its stamped right on the rotor hub mim thickness is 36mm on fronts, and 30mm on rear. So measure them with a caliper, or if you have a dealer do the job ask them to see the rotor measurements if they're requiring them to be replaced.
My other car is a BMW M5 Competition and its got close to 70k miles on it now, and just now had to replace rotors. And it's a very similar brake set up, and I would argue the M5 ones get abused more but still lasted 70k miles.
You should be able to get at least 2 sets of pads out of 1 set of rotors. The ones they came with , then at 25-35k miles new pads, then 50-70k new pads again with new rotors.
Have only driven it around the block a few times, but there is zero squeal or squeak (for now, we'll see 10k miles from now, thats how it was on my M5 Comp they were quiet when new, then eventually got loud) .
Looking forward to less dust, and hopefully they stay quiet.
I'll say (and it could just be placebo effect) but they maybe have a little less initial bite than the OEM ones, but they feel ok for now. Maybe after they get fully bedded with the used rotors, they'll have equal bite.
Pleased so far!

Any tips or tricks for the install? I plan to tackle mine this weekend.
