Does anyone have any bright ideas for how we can confirm the height of the G63 4x4 with and without the roof rack? I removed the rack from my spec because I'm worried it won't fit in my garage, but I'd love to have that option. Someone in the ordering guide thread did some rough calculations, but I want a definitive answer so that I'm not leaving this up to chance. I might reach out to Brabus in Germany as I think they'll know the dimensions, but other than that I'm coming up short on ideas...

I believe the roof rack sit flush with the LED lights on the roof.

If you order the roof rack it comes with a taller wind deflector, which was designed to minimize noise and drag from the roof rack. If you order it without the roof rack, you get a lower profile wind deflector. I'm trying to figure out that delta.

I kinda want to know this too, to see if it would fit in a normal sized garage.

I've just sent an email requesting the height. I'll let you know if/when I hear back.

As per the Canadian order guide the "normal" G63's height is 77.4 inches and the 4x4 squared's height is 88.78 inches.

Good find! Interesting it lists the dimensions in the two drawings as being the same, but it shows different height and width in the column.

Good catch! If that's the case, then this G63 4x4 is taller than the 2017-2018 G550 4x4 by .78 inches. The previous gen barely fit in my garage so I better order it without the rack, bummer. I guess I will order the Brabus roof rack after the fact if I think it'll clear.

where are you getting this info?

I’m asking because the Canadian Spec comes with the luggage rack (option F52) as standard equipment, and the order guide shows an overall height of 2.255m (~89”).

I also have a tight garage clearance issue, and at 90+” I’m making some major mods to my garage door & frame.

thanks

No worries, I asked one of the guys in charge of research and development for the 4x4 because, like you, I have a tight fit with my garage. He said 2.32m so it's actually 91.34in.

I also confirmed what @Biglife stated. Per LeTech, with their roof rack (including the round Vision-X lights), it is 231cm tall. So, with the factory rack and lower front lights it would make sense it's closer to 91.34".

it won’t. It also too big for the average multi-storey car park. Which average 6.5-7ft in the USA.

Did anyone confirm if the 4x4 squared will fit in a 7ft tall garage with no roof rack? I see some are for sale without the roof rack but they still have the light bar in the front . Can anyone confirm a lower profile light bar that can be used instead to fit in 7ft garage. Thanks
