Yes they are. My dealer has one that he has been unable to sell for a month. It is white and has a roof rack and ugly black wheels. Maybe that's why it won't move.

Several months later when I removed the spare tire cover for cleaning, I found MB had supplied a Continental 265/55R20, which on the build sheet was described as a "full size spare", because the cover doesn't fit the Pirelli 275/50R20. Makes for an interesting dilemma if you have to change a tire -- hopefully there's room in the boot for the cover, as it can't be mounted over the flat.

Anyway, I installed a 5th Yoko as the spare and went with an aftermarket cover (Boomerang) that fits it. I like keeping all the tires thae same circumference at all times.
No big deal ? I am surprised that it fits without any rubbing. You really have no rubbing anywhere ? LeTech recommend these (275/55) when you have lift.

275/55 adds no additional width, and only 14 mm additional height over the OE 275/50. Some owners encounter rubbing when they get into widths exceeding 295.

Does Mercedes sell that spare tire cover on it's own?

Nice looking G!
I am curious how much wind noise is present because of the roof rack.
Any owners care to chime in on how this compares to a normal G550 in terms of wind noise?
