Wanted to get thoughts on Arabian Grey vs China Blue. Interior thoughts? Night Package or Night Package Plus? If I get heated steering wheel it says I lose AMG buttons…what does that mean? Thanks everyone in advance.
You can either have the AMG buttons that are the two circular dials or heated steering wheel which deletes. There's a few threads on it if you search the forum. Personally I prefer the AMG buttons having had both types.
Night package plus is really a personal decision. I don't care for the two tone look but others love it.
Arabian Gray just screams red interior. I always think yacht blue would look smooth with china blue but it is a lot of blue. Black with colored stitching would be a safe choice or maybe a shade of brown.
I almost got arabian gray for my next build but decided that flat grey color is somewhat ubiquitous, maybe down the road. China blue is unique but not sure if it would get old after awhile. Me personally I'd never drive a light blue car (see avatar).
Congrats on the allocation but just get the colour you like. Im personally going for China Blue but then again I don't care about resell value. Too many grey/white/black G-Wagens if you ask me and they offer so many cool colours.

I don’t think any. I currently have all those with heated wheel.
If you opt for the heated steering wheel option, you will lose the AMG Drive Mode digital selector located at the 8-o-clock position on the steering wheel. There is a way to easily retrofit the AMG drive mode selector though...

I just specced and took delivery of a 2022 G63 in Arabian Grey. LOVE the color in person...in photographs, it appears a bit more washed out and lighter but in actuality, it's darker. I thought the Arabian Gray somewhat toned down the G63 vs. some of the more polarizing colors out there. I do believe it's an easier color to resell than China Blue.

Now I see what you mean with a better screen. I don't have any of those lower buttons.

Im still a little over a year away for my allocation given the slow rate they're currently producing. People are probably going to think Im nuts because it doesn't really match but I like red interiors so I'll be choosing classic red with the non-massaging seats.
What about you?

I am going to do Black with White Stitching. Blue and Red will be a great combo.
I am going with China Blue with Night Package Plus but keeping roof body color. Believe 2022 will be first year you can do this. Also black interior with white stitching. G Manufaktur Interior Plus. RG4 wheels. Carbon fiber heated steering wheel.
Congrats for getting the allocation. Is your dealer charging any markup for the custom build?
That is a very good question. I have bought a lot of high priced cars (Maybachs, 63’s etc) from the dealer and told them it would be the end of our relationship if they do. I never shopped them before and never ground them down on pricing when the market was soft. The GM acknowledged all this but didn’t fully commit to forgoing a markup. They never require me to put down a deposit so won’t know for sure until I pay for the car on arrival. Given the price increases and the softening market hopefully the market will be close to or at MSRP when the truck arrives.
