I went with matte black, although they said that gloss would also look good with the black fenders. There are four strips of aluminum on the running boards two on top and two on the side. They did NOT do the top two (where my wife's high heels go) only the side two. They also warned not to step on the side ones at all. Cost was $150.00. Best money I ever spent in my opinion. Goes in for full ceramic coating Monday and hopefully that will make wheel cleaning a little easier as I have discovered the black wheels are brake dust magnet's. My others had silver wheels which are much easier to clean.
Yes they have to pull the wheels off for the ceramic coating in order to coat the wheel barrels properly. Because of the problem with the brake dust he said he would coat them twice.

Jason at Finishline Auto Cosmetics in OKC charges $300.00 to pull the wheels off and ceramic coat them. He put two coats of ceramic coating on my black wheels, they are not nearly as porous now so they don't show the brake dust nearly as much plus they will be much easier to clean.
